  • DALE WOLLSCHLEGER, R.Ph.
    DALE WOLLSCHLEGER, R.Ph.President & CEO

    Dale M. Wollschleger, RPh, is the Founder of ExactCare Pharmacy and a nationally recognized health care entrepreneur. Dale established ExactCare in 2009 and today is CEO and President of the company.

    With a personal vision and mission to improve the quality of life for patients through innovative health care solutions, Dale built ExactCare on the foundation of a disruptive high-touch medication management model to help medically complex, high-risk patients achieve better health.

    Since its establishment, ExactCare has grown from three employees in one state to more than 300 employees across the country. Today, ExactCare helps tens of thousands of patients each year achieve safer, more effective medication regimens, adhere to complex daily medication routines and, ultimately, improve their health.

    As a serial entrepreneur, Dale has owned and operated a number of health care companies throughout his career, including retail, specialty and mail-order pharmacies and a durable medical equipment company. In 2014, he was named the Entrepreneur Of The Year Northeast Ohio Region Health and Wellness Services Award winner. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and is a registered pharmacist.

    • MARTY BUTLER, M.B.A, CPA
      MARTY BUTLER, M.B.A, CPAChief Financial Officer

      Marty, a senior healthcare executive with Fortune 500 and start-up company leadership experience, leads all accounting, finance and business analytics at ExactCare. Marty is former CEO of a Cleveland Clinic start-up venture; VP of multiple Operations and Analytics functions for a worksite health business purchased by Walgreens in 2008; and Manager, Corporate Development & Strategy for Eaton Corporation. Marty earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from John Carroll University and passed the CPA exam on his first sitting. Marty is a past President and Board Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland, Town Hall of Cleveland and the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Northeastern Ohio. He has been honored by Crain’s Cleveland Business as a finalist in 2015 and winner in 2017 of CFO of the Year for Northeastern Ohio.

      • TONY CASANOVA
        TONY CASANOVAChief Information Officer

        Since joining ExactCare in 2013, Tony has been a guiding force in the company’s growth and expansion, both within IT and across functions. His leadership has helped ExactCare navigate the challenges of intensely rapid growth, driving infrastructure enhancements in areas that include operational and business process design, technology, business analytics and patient engagement. Notably, Tony has been a leader behind the design and implementation of a custom-engineered pharmacy automation solution and a cloud-based CRM software, both of which have transformed ExactCare’s operations.

        Prior to joining ExactCare, Tony worked in the high-tech information technology space for more than 13 years in various functional, technical and leadership consulting roles at Accenture Consulting. He has a vast range of global implementation experience supporting clients that include Cisco Systems, EMC, Philips Healthcare, Redhat, Underwriters Laboratories and the Department of Homeland Security.

        In 2016, Tony was recognized among the top technology leaders in Northeast Ohio as a member of the Crain’s Cleveland CIO of the Year Class. He holds a BSBA with a focus in Management Information Systems from Ohio University.

        • Brad Hess, R.Ph.
          Brad Hess, R.Ph.Chief Operating Officer

          Brad is an accomplished pharmacy and health care executive who brings extensive pharmacy operations experience to ExactCare.

          As COO, Brad provides strategic oversight and guidance for ExactCare’s pharmacy operations, including the Patient Care, Pharmacy Production, Patient Outreach and Field-Based Clinical functions. In addition, Brad is focused on strategic planning and company growth and is accountable for the overall profitability, scalability and sustainability of ExactCare as the company enters its next phase of expansion.

          Prior to joining ExactCare, Brad served in a strategic executive-level role with the fourth-largest pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) in the US. There, he was responsible for pharmacy strategy development, profit and loss, national mail operations, and pharmacy quality and safety.

          Brad’s background also includes 14 years in the retail pharmacy industry with a Fortune 50 company. There he gained invaluable experience in a number of diverse roles—leading national operations for 850 pharmacy locations across the country; leading healthcare regulatory compliance and risk management; and providing leadership and oversight for the company’s health care growth strategies. Brad also has experience in the long-term-care industry and was co-founder of a start-up that provides pharmacy services to skilled nursing facilities in five states today.

          Brad earned his BS in Pharmacy from The Ohio State University and is a registered pharmacist.

          • Jared Chandler
            Jared ChandlerVP, Business Development

            Jared is a seasoned health care and medical technology sales executive who joined ExactCare in 2016.

            As Vice President of Business Development, Jared leads strategic Business Development efforts in the home heath, heath plan and PBM market segments. Jared is focused on driving new initiatives, growth and development in new markets throughout the United States. Additionally, he provides guidance, oversight and leadership to ExactCare’s field-based sales team focused on activities to generate new business, as well as client relations to establish and nurture corporate strategic partnerships.

            Prior to joining ExactCare, Jared spent 16 years with Brainlab, a medical technology company providing solutions in the fields of surgery, radiotherapy, medical image sharing and digitally integrated O.R.s. There, he gained valuable experience in front-line sales—consistently ranking as a top national performer—before moving up to serve in a variety of executive leadership roles. Most recently he was a Sales Director for the company’s Surgery Division, with responsibilities spanning sales management, recruitment, new division launches, marketing and R&D/product development.

            Jared was born and raised in the Cleveland area and holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan.

            • LARRY DECARIA, Pharm. D., R.Ph.
              LARRY DECARIA, Pharm. D., R.Ph.VP, Clinical Services & Product Development

              In this role, Larry leverages both his clinical pharmacy background and his more than 15 years’ experience working in sales and marketing to provide guidance and oversight to ExactCare’s product development process. His unique blend of knowledge ensures ExactCare is driving the right service and product enhancements to meet the constantly evolving needs of our health care partners. Larry also serves as ExactCare’s clinical and pharmacy operations subject matter expert for our clients.

              Prior to his current role, Larry worked for several years leading sales and business development efforts for ExactCare.

              In 2012, Larry partnered with ExactCare’s founder, Dale Wollschleger, R.Ph., to establish a division of ExactCare in New Jersey called Farmapack. Under Larry’s leadership, the New Jersey pharmacy operated independently for several years, and in 2014, the two made the decision to bring Farmapack under the ExactCare brand name.

              Larry is a seasoned pharmacy professional and entrepreneur with a diverse range of experience that includes front-line pharmacy operations, product management, marketing, sales and strategic business development. His background includes several years working for a leading pharmaceutical company.

              Larry holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University.

              • TODD DONNELLY, M.S. Pharm, M.B.A., R.Ph.
                TODD DONNELLY, M.S. Pharm, M.B.A., R.Ph.VP, Regulatory Compliance

                Todd has more than 20 years’ experience as a pharmacy leader, administrator and entrepreneur. Since joining ExactCare, he has helped build the Compliance and Regulatory function of the business, including providing leadership and oversight for the pharmacy licensure process; HIPAA, security and privacy; third-party billing and receivables compliance; quality and patient safety; business partnerships; operational regulatory requirements; and the development of a Board of Pharmacy approved Qualified Pharmacy Technician training program. Under Todd’s leadership, ExactCare has secured and continues to maintain pharmacy licensure in 49 states and Washington, D.C., and has certified more than 50 employees as pharmacy technicians.

                Prior to joining ExactCare, Todd was a leader in health-systems pharmacy at the assistant director and director level with Kaiser Permanente and Cleveland Clinic. Most recently, he spent 11 years developing and managing the ambulatory pharmacy and health system accreditation and regulatory compliance processes at Cleveland Clinic. He has designed and implemented more than a dozen pharmacies, including owning his own community pharmacy for more than 11 years.

                Todd is an accomplished scholar, having earned multiple degrees, certifications and academic awards. He holds a B.S. in Pharmacy from The University of Toledo; an M.S. in Pharmacy Outcomes and Policy and a Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Regulation and Policy from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy; an M.B.A from Stetson University; and certification as a Pharmacy Regulatory Specialist. While in graduate school, he was inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and the International Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma and earned the Top MBA/MS in Pharmacy Academic Performance Award, which recognizes the top graduating student in the UF/Stetson dual-degree MBA/MS program.

                Todd is a member of the Ohio Pharmacists Association and Chairman of the organization’s Regulatory & Legal Committee.

                • Graham Gravley, Pharm. D.
                  Graham Gravley, Pharm. D.VP, Patient Care

                  Graham leads operations for Patient Care and is responsible for the patient experience and service portfolio at ExactCare. Graham is a second-generation pharmacist with more than 10 years of experience in the health care industry. He has held leadership roles ranging from multi-store health care field operations to corporate store strategy and operations.

                  Graham brings an ability to lead health care professionals through a balance of engagement and accountability. He has a proven track record of success leading large teams, focusing on talent development as the core building block to a successful culture. He has leadership experience with multiple fortune 50 companies and has experience in the areas of international pharmacy expansion, pharmacy operations, healthcare operations, pharmacy systems implementation and clinical services. This diverse combination of experience helps ExactCare continue to develop and implement ways to deliver innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes.

                  Graham holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Davidson College (North Carolina) and a doctorate of pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University.

                  • MARTY HAUSER
                    MARTY HAUSERVP, Business Development

                    Marty brings an unparalleled depth of expertise to ExactCare’s business development strategy. He is a recognized health care leader who has served in numerous prominent leadership roles throughout his career.

                    Marty is a founder and former President & CEO of SummaCare, Inc. a provider-sponsored health plan affiliated with Summa Health System. Under his leadership, SummaCare and its subsidiary APEX Benefits grew to over 250,000 members with clients in five states and over $500 million in annual revenue.

                    In addition to his role at SummaCare, Marty served in a variety of roles at Summa Health System in the finance and planning areas and also served as System VP & Chief Government Relations Officer for all entities owned by Summa Health System.

                    He has served in leadership roles at the Leadership Institute and the Health Plan Alliance. He was also instrumental in the creation and management of the Cleveland Health Network where, as President, he led the development and implementation of strategy, policy, and operations for this unique multiple health system member organization.

                    Marty earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Akron. He has been recognized with the Alumni Honor Award and the Distinguished Business Alumni Award from the University of Akron. In addition, he was recognized as “Sales & Marketing Executive of the Year” by the Akron chapter of SMEI, and he received the Reimenschneider Leadership Award from the Baldwin Wallace University HealthCare MBA for his work in creating and teaching in the program.

                    He serves as a board member of the Akron Community Foundation, The United Way of Summit County, The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation, The University of Akron Foundation, and the Sisler McFawn Foundation. He is also a past board member and past board chair of Leadership Akron.

                    • AARON LINK, R.Ph.
                      AARON LINK, R.Ph.VP, Operations

                      Aaron oversees critical aspects of our patient support services, pharmacy business operations, and strategic pharmacy process improvement initiatives. This includes leading the Patient Relations team and associated functions, including patient retention, collections, billing and audits.

                      Aaron was one of the original pharmacists at ExactCare and helped establish the company’s foundation during its inception. This unique perspective equips him with an extensive-level of knowledge in ExactCare’s end-to-end processes and a deep-level of understanding of the types of patients we serve.

                      Aaron is a pharmacist with 20 years of hands-on industry experience. Prior to joining ExactCare in 2009, he directed pharmacy operations at a Fortune 40 Company where he led operational improvements at multiple locations. Aaron earned his BS in Pharmacy from The Ohio State University and is a licensed pharmacist in 16 states.

                      • Max Macesich
                        Max MacesichVP, Strategy Deployment

                        Max’s responsibilities include oversite of order fulfillment for ExactCare. In leading our fulfillment operation, he leverages his broad industry experience to advance the technology and organization of our state-of-the-art automated production lines and drive the delivery of world-class service, quality and accuracy. Max also works closely with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams to implement project-based initiatives that will enable the company to achieve key business objectives and strategic goals. He provides project management leadership company wide, including mentoring to help drive continuous improvements.

                        Since joining ExactCare, Max has gained a thorough knowledge of the company’s unique end-to-end operational processes and strategic direction. This understanding of the business–in conjunction with his 20 years of continuous improvement leadership across multiple industries, a certification in Lean Six Sigma and strong analytical skills–bring strength to this role.

                        Max has steadily progressed in his career, from learning directly from Toyota Motors Manufacturing to leading a major R&D program for optical crystals with Saint-Gobain to building the customer technical service organization for GE Lighting’s LED lighting business. At L’Oreal USA, Max gained critical experience deploying a World Class Operations culture, which he then carried to a leading mail order pharmacy, where he established a World Class Operations culture for the largest and most complex pharmacy front end operations in the company’s mail order network.

                        • Veronica Oubayan, MLRHR
                          Veronica Oubayan, MLRHRDirector of Human Resources

                          Veronica joined ExactCare in 2014, bringing to the company an innovative and progressive approach to Human Resources that has helped build, shape and enhance the company’s HR function and continues to drive efficiency and policy/process improvements.

                          As the company’s strategic Human Resources leader, Veronica is responsible for managing a team responsible for all HR functions, including employment relations, performance management, training and development, recruitment, compensation, benefits administration, and federal and state compliance. She also oversees the development and implementation of the company’s HR strategies and programs to support the company’s continued expansion.

                          Notably, her accomplishments at ExactCare include providing HR guidance and leadership through a period of intensely rapid company growth—during which time ExactCare grew from less than 75 employees to more than 250.

                          In June 2016, Veronica was named by Crain’s Cleveland as a finalist in the “Rising Star Category” for the Archer Award, which recognizes outstanding HR professionals who are building their companies with the best people, talent, development and culture.

                          Veronica holds a master’s degree in Labor Relations and Human Resource Management from Cleveland State University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Canisius College (Buffalo, NY).

                          • Kara Slater
                            Kara SlaterDirector of Marketing

                            Kara joined ExactCare in 2015 in the company’s first formal position devoted to marketing. Since then, she has established the company’s marketing platform, developed messages and tools to formalize the company’s branding, built a robust set of resources to support a national field-based sales team, and laid the foundation for the organization’s internal communications infrastructure.

                            Today, Kara leads all external and internal marketing and communications activities for ExactCare. This includes providing guidance and support to help shape strategic efforts around business development initiatives, partnership implementations, patient experience, product development, internal communications and other key initiatives.

                            Kara brings to this role 15 years of experience in marketing and communications. She has spent more than half of her career specializing in health care, gaining a solid understanding of the industry and health care reform. She earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations from Kent State University, a graduate certificate in public administration from the University of Akron, and a certificate in Project Management from the University of Akron.

                            • Douglas Present
                              Douglas PresentChairman of the Board, ExactCare Pharmacy

                              Doug, Chairman of the ExactCare Board of Directors, has had a long and accomplished career focused on the services sector of the US health care system. He is currently an investor in, and advisor to, several middle and upper market, private-equity-backed health care services companies.  He serves as Chairman of the Board of Genoa Health Care, the nation’s largest provider of on-site pharmacy services to patients with mental health disorders. Doug is also Chairman of the Board of Golden State Medical Supply, the largest supplier of generic drugs to the US Government. He is also on the Board of Cotiviti, the nation’s leading payment integrity provider to CMS and other top commercial insurance plans.  He has been a Board Member and advisor to five other private-equity-backed health care services companies during his career.

                              From 2001 through 2013, Doug served as the CEO of Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA). MHA is the largest Group Purchasing Organization in the country focused on alternate site/non-acute settings. During Doug’s tenure, MHA’s purchasing volume with its client base grew from approximately $700 million in contracted sales to approximately $6 billion, while MHA’s earnings grew over 20 times. Under Doug’s leadership, MHA evolved beyond the traditional GPO model into a full health care services company that provides its clients with a variety of services including managed care contracting, software, data mining, claims reconciliation and legislative advocacy. In May of 2013, after being owned by a series of private equity companies, MHA was sold to Roper Industries.

                              Doug Present is a Lecturer at the Wharton Business School where, for the last 9 years, he has taught health care services to second year MBA students in the Health Care Management program.  Doug has received the prestigious “Excellence in Teaching Award” for being a top rated Professor as voted upon by Wharton students for the last four consecutive years.

                              Doug graduated with a BA from Syracuse University in 1986 and with an MBA from The Wharton School in 1990. He is on the Advisory Board of the Whitman School of Business at Syracuse University. Doug is also involved with several charitable organizations and recently served as President of the Board of Directors of Project Morry, a non-profit, year-round youth development organization anchored by a residential summer camp experience. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.

                              • Michael W. Bukach, R.Ph.
                                Michael W. Bukach, R.Ph.SVP & General Manager, Pharmacy, CoverMyMeds

                                Michael is Vice President of National Pharmacy Accounts for CoverMyMeds, working with national chains to educate them on the company’s prior authorization (PA) process. Prior to his role at CoverMyMeds, Michael served as Vice President of Pharmacy Operations for Cardinal Health/Medicine Shoppe before joining MemberHealth in 2005. There he helped develop the third-largest Medicare Part D program in the country as SVP of Pharmacy Operations. In this role he was responsible for a 65,000-pharmacy network and the PA group. Michael earned his degree in pharmacy from Ohio Northern University.

                                  Chris is a seasoned financial and business management adviser with a focus on the health care industry. He is currently a Managing Director at Nautic Partners, and has been with the firm since 2008. Prior to joining Nautic, Chris gained experiencing at J.H. Whitney & Co. and Lehman Brothers. He holds a BA from Assumption College and earned his MBA from Columbia Business School.

                                    Keith is an experienced financial and business management adviser with expertise in the health care industry. Currently a Vice President at Nautic Partners, he has been with the firm since 2010. Prior to his time at Nautic, Keith gained experience at Bain & Company. He holds an AB from Davidson College.

                                    • Anna Haghgooie
                                      Anna HaghgooieManaging Director, Sandbox Industries

                                      Anna Haghgooie is a managing director of Sandbox Industries, a Chicago-based venture capital firm focused on implementing innovation by connecting established corporations with innovative startups and entrepreneurs. Anna focuses on investing in health care innovation through the BlueCross BlueShield Venture Funds, a collaborative investment platform with over $500 million in capital and over 30 Blue Plans participating. In addition to her role on the ExactCare board of directors, she also serves on the board of directors of ZeOmega, Contessa, Axial Healthcare, Allay, Benestream, and Everymove. Previously she served on the board of directors of naviHealth and Change Healthcare and was a board observer of Essence Group Healthcare. Before joining Sandbox in 2008, Anna held roles as the general manager at an integrative medicine start-up, covered the healthcare markets as an associate director of corporate finance at Fitch Ratings and started her career in the Financial Management Program at GE Capital. Anna earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a MBA with honors from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business. Anna is a Fellow in the Health Innovators Fellowship at the Aspen Institute. She lives in Chicago with her husband and two children.

                                        Scott, a seasoned financial and business management advisor, has been with Nautic Partners for more than 15 years. Throughout his career, he has acquired significant experience in the health care industry. His past experience includes Fleet Equity Partners; TA Associate; and Deloitte & Touche, Healthcare Consulting. He holds an AB from Harvard College.

                                        • James F. Smith

                                          Jim Smith is a seasoned pharmacy and health care executive and trained pharmacist. He has more than 30 years of business management experience in the health care industry. Jim has served in several notable senior leadership roles at large national pharmacy and health care organizations. His experience includes serving as Senior Vice President of Healthcare Services & Government Relations for CVS; Senior Vice President of e-Commerce for Eckerd Corporation; and Senior Vice President of Managed Care Services for Eckerd Health Services, focusing on the company’s mail order pharmacy and PBM business lines. Most recently, he served as President & CEO of QoL meds, LLC, a behavioral health specialty pharmacy. He also spent time early in his career running retail pharmacy operations. Jim holds a BS in Pharmacy from West Virginia University.
