When will my medication begin working?

After starting a new medication, you may wonder when you will be able to feel it start to work. The following can all affect how long it takes for your medication to begin working:

  • The type of medication.
  • The form of the medication (tablet, capsule, etc.).
  • Your condition that the medication is being used to treat.
  • Your body and how it responds to the medication.

Medications that tend to work quickly include:
