Costs to You

You are billed solely for your prescription medication copayments and any non-prescription medications not covered by your insurance. ExactCare provides medication packaging, delivery and clinical services at no additional cost to patients.

The amount you owe is set by your health insurance plan. If you have questions regarding your plan coverage, contact your insurance provider. 

Monthly Billing

ExactCare uses a 30-day billing cycle. This means you receive one bill per month for all of your medications. This includes:

  • Copayments for your routine prescriptions, if you have any
  • The cost of any non-prescription medications not covered by your insurance (examples include over-the-counter items like vitamins and aspirin)

Getting a monthly bill may be a change for you if you are used to picking up your medications at different times during the month. Instead of paying for them each time you pick them up, you are paying for them all at once.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is my payment due?

  • Payment of your statement balance is required within 30 days of receipt of your billing statement.
  • You can also make arrangements to make smaller payments over the course of the month to pay your bill in full. 

Do I have to pay all at once?

No. You can make multiple payments per month to pay your full balance.

What forms of payment do you accept?

ACH Bank Withdrawal​

Credit Card ​
Pay through the online ExactCare App account or by phone at 1-877-355-7225, option 8. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

Health Savings Account (HSA) Card*
An HSA card is a Health Savings Account Debit Card that allows you to purchase healthcare-related goods and services. The cost of each eligible medical purchase is deducted from your HSA account. ​

*If we don’t have a relationship with your HSA plan, let us know. We can try and get it approved so you can use your card. 

What if I can’t make my payment?

  • Call us! If you are unable to make a payment, we’d like to talk to you as soon as possible to work something out.
  • Balances older than 60 days or failure to make required payments or other arrangements in a timely manner may impact our ability to continue providing you with our services.

Can I have my billing statement sent somewhere other than my home address?

Yes. We can save multiple addresses on file for you. Just let us know where you would like to receive your medication deliveries and where you would like for us to mail your billing statement. If you like, we can send it to someone else who handles your finances, such as a family member.

You can also update this in your online account through our website or in the ExactCare app.

Can I set up and manage auto-payments?

  • Yes, you can make automatic payments using your credit card, debit card, or direct bank withdrawal.
  • At the close of your billing cycle, or upon a date of your choosing, your preferred payment method will automatically be charged the amount of your statement balance.
  • Set up autopay with ExactCare in your online account through our website or in the ExactCare App. You can also call 1-877-355-7225.

I'm a new patient. When will I find out my copayments?

After you complete your health and medication review, a member of our pharmacy team will call you to review your copayments. It is important that you answer any calls you receive from ExactCare and return our calls as soon as you can.

Who determines copayments?

Your copayments are set by your insurance plan. 

How much is delivery?

ExactCare does not charge a delivery fee.

Why is my bill this amount?

You receive one bill per month for all your medications. Your bill includes:

  • Copayments for your prescription and as-needed medications
  • Cost of non-prescriptions medications not covered by your insurance 

If you are used to paying for your medications each time you get them from the pharmacy, receiving a monthly bill will be a change for you. Please call us if you think you will have trouble paying for all your medications at once.

What are the different ways I can make a payment?

We have a few different ways you can make a payment. You can:

  • Create an online account through our website or by downloading the ExactCare app, where you can make payments and manage your medication info.
  • Pay by phone using our automated payment system by calling 1-877-355-7225 and choosing option 8.
  • Pay through the ExactCare website to make a one-time payment.
  • Send a check or money order by mail.

How do I store my payment information for future use?

You can create an online account through our website or by downloading the ExactCare app.

Where can I find my account number?

Your 12-digit account number is on your statement. It is in the bottom right corner.

How can I opt out of receiving paper statements in the mail?

  • You can opt out of paper statements by creating an online account.
  • You can do this on our website or by downloading the ExactCare App.
  • To find the opt-out feature, go into the Account tab, choose Payments and Billing, and switch the toggle on next to Paperless Billing

How do I make payments through my online account?

After you log into your app account, go to the Account tab, choose Payments and Billing, and select Make a Payment. This will take you to our payment system hosted by Fifth Third Bank.
