
Understanding the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program and Pricing

The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program may help eligible people get certain GLP-1 medications for weight loss for $50 a month. The program is planned to run from July 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027.
What is a GLP-1 Medication?
GLP-1 medications are prescription medications commonly used to treat type 2 diabetes. Some GLP-1 medications can also be used to help with weight loss.
This program covers Wegovy®, Foundayo®, and Zepbound® KwikPens. This program does not cover all GLP-1 medications.
Who Can Join?
This program is for people using a GLP-1 medication for weight loss. People taking a GLP-1 medication to only treat type 2 diabetes are not eligible.
Your doctor and Medicare decide if you are eligible for this program. ExactCare does not decide if you qualify.
What Does it Cost?
You pay $50 a month if you are approved for the program. Medicare sets this $50 amount. It cannot be lowered or waived.
- Coupons and copay assistance cannot be used with this program.
- Extra Help does not lower this amount.
- Payments do not count toward your Part D deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.
- Payments do not count toward your True Out-of-Pocket (TrOOP) costs.
