Things to Know About Your Medication Delivery

Keep Your Delivery Address Up to Date

  • Tell us right away if your address changes! This helps you get your medications on time.

  • Request your delivery be sent to a different address if you are going to be out of town for an extended time.

  • Let us know if you are admitted to the hospital or a nursing facility. We can put your delivery on hold.

Sign Up for Shipping and Delivery Notifications

  • You can track your medication shipments using our online patient portal, called MyECP.
  • MyECP shipping and delivery alerts can be sent by text message or email to your mobile device.
  • You can also use the calendar feature in MyECP to see when a delivery is on its way.

Due to healthcare privacy laws, there are details we cannot leave in a voicemail. Even if a message sounds general it is always best to call us back.

Frequently Asked Questions for ExactCare Patients

What is my start date?

This is the date you are scheduled to begin using your ExactPack. You will see a start date listed on the ExactPack label on the outside of the box and on the delivery summary sheet included with your shipment. The date will be specific to that ExactPack.

What should I do if I still have medication left when the new start date arrives?

Each ExactPack has a 30-day supply of medications. If you have extra medication when your ExactPack start date arrives and are unsure what to do, please call us. Your pharmacist can give you feedback based on your specific situation. Remember, it is important for your health to take your medications as prescribed.

Is there anything I need to do if my doctor changes my medication?

Please make sure your doctor knows ExactCare is your pharmacy. It’s also a good idea for you or your doctor to let us know a new prescription is coming. This helps ensure we are aware of the change as soon as possible and enables us to watch for the new prescription.

What happens if my doctor sends a new prescription mid-month?

This will be handled on a case-by-case basis. … Are there any special instructions we want to give patients? Call us to let us know if you need it right away?

What should I do if my prescription insurance changes?

Please let us know right away! It is very important we always have your current prescription insurance information. In some cases, if we do not have your current prescription insurance information, it may affect our ability to fill your medications.

Can I get an antibiotic through ExactCare?

Antibiotics are medications you will usually need same-day or very immediately and for a limited time. For these reasons, we typically recommend you get an antibiotic through a local pharmacy. It is always best to call ExactCare to discuss your specific situation.

How can I get shipping and delivery notifications?

You can set up notifications through MyECP, our online patient portal and mobile app. Click here for more information about MyECP.

Why are you sending me a monthly billing statement?

ExactCare uses a 30-day billing cycle. This means you receive one bill per month for all your medications. This includes any prescription copayments you have. These are determined by your insurance plan. It will also include the cost of any over-the-counter vitamins, supplements and non-prescription medications you receive from ExactCare. What are prescription copayments?

Prescription insurance plans often share the total cost of medications with their members. Prescription copayments are the portion of the total cost the plan asks their members to pay. Not all insurance plans require prescription copayments, so it is possible you may not have them. Click here for more info about billing.

Why are my prescription copayments this amount?

The amount of your prescription copayments is determined by your prescription insurance plan. It is possible you may not have prescription copayments. This is typically true for people with Medicaid coverage. Click here for more info about billing.

What do I need to create a MyECP account online?

You will need to provide your date of birth, the last 4 digits of your social security number, your zip code and phone number. You will be asked to create a username and password to get into your account.

Is MyECP secure?

Yes, MyECP is safe and secure. We are required by law to maintain the privacy and security of your protected health information. Our patient portal is HIPAA compliant and uses 256-bit encryption.

Why should I use MyECP?

There are many convenient features within MyECP that can help you better understand your medications and take them as prescribed. The portal makes it easier for you to take an active role in your health. It lets you manage some aspects of your ExactCare account without having to call us on the phone.

Another benefit of having a MyECP account is that it allows you to share your medication information with caregivers.

 

What can I do in MyECP?

MyECP allows you to manage your account and access your medication information. You can:

    • View your billing statement and make a payment
    • Update your billing address and phone number
    • See what medications you are receiving in your next delivery
    • Set medication notifications and reminders
    • Review all the medications ExactCare has on file for you and print the list of your medications

Does MyECP cost anything?

No. Whether you use the patient portal on your computer or through the MyECP app, there is no cost to you.

Paying for Your Medication

ExactCare will send you a monthly bill for your medication. This may be a change for you if you are used to picking up your medication at different times during the month.

Your bill will include:

  • Copayments for your prescription medication, if you have them
  • The cost of non-prescription medication not covered by your insurance
