As Vice President, Controller, Karen is responsible for oversight of ExactCare’s accounting activities, including financial reporting, accounting records and regular analytical review of financial performance results. She also manages the Accounts Receivable, Collections and Payable departments.

Since joining the organization in 2015, she has been a strong leader for ExactCare. She has been instrumental in building and professionalizing the accounting function and team. This includes working with external financial auditors to successfully complete our annual financial statement and 401(k) audits, leading the tax filings and compliance with our external tax advisors, managing all treasury-related matters with our bank and leading the risk-management relationship with our insurance broker.

She has also built a strong Accounting support network for ExactCare’s internal teams. This includes working with executive and senior leaders to build financial reporting and establish regular reviews of this information to equip our leaders with the information they need to successfully manage their functions.

Karen has 18+ years of experience, including Big Four Public Accounting experience. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and The Ohio Society of CPAs. She graduated from John Carroll University first with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and later her Masters of Business Administration and maintains an active CPA license. Prior to joining the team at ExactCare, she worked for Trivantage and KPMG.
